The CIA recognizes that students need to learn to glocalize, so we endeavor to balance our philanthropies between local and global arenas.
Past Experiences
Our group has been involved with many local, national and global activities since our start. Through our collaborative efforts with the World Affairs Council Houston, we are able to participate in their Young Leader's Forum and Conversations with History programs. This year we are excited to participate in The UP Experience. Both of these programs showcase renowned speakers to inform our students on issues on all levels. Students have discussed politics with Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, dined with Cokie Roberts, showcased human rights concerns with Amnesty Interntional Director William Schulz and viewed former President of Poland Lech Walesa's obstacles during his democratic revolution.
