Our Vision

The CIA's goal is to enrich the lives of students at The Woodlands High School through community service, the education of International Affairs and cultural events.

Through our monthly events on-campus, within the community and those in cooperation with the World Affairs Council Houston's Educational Outreach Program, students involved in the CIA can be as active in their cultural education as they like.

? Participation in the CIA will set you apart as a leader, empower you to become an effective citizen and leader in the global community, and reinforce the idea of debate, discussion and questioning as valuable learning tools.  - Susan Hollier ?

History

The CIA was formed by Mrs. Hollier, a teacher of AP Human Geography and World Geography at The Woodlands High School. Before The Woodlands High School offered the current array of AP classes, Mrs. Hollier led an independent study to educate students about AP Human Geography to ready themselves for the AP Test.

When TWHS offered Advanced Placement Human Geography as a class, Mrs. Hollier formed the CIA to educate not only her students, but those throughout the school, about the world around them.
